Blood Sucking Brand Activation

Twilight

If you are a fan of the Twilight saga, then you’ll love this brand activation. The owners of the family-run company Cruises Cruises Cruises have partnered with Holland America’s Oosterdam to indulge fans of the crazy-popular “Twilight” series with an Alaskan cruise. Fans can meet with other fans, actors from the movie, get autographs, watch screenings, attend a costume ball, and maybe even bite each other. There is even a pre-cruise package where local Seattle guides will take you to places you’ve read about in the books and have seen in the movie … including Forks High School and La Push beach! Click here to learn more.

There is no doubt that the “Twilight” phenomenon has become full blown. When you are a big fan, there is nothing better than to be able to share that with others who feel the same way. The folks at Cruises Cruises Cruises get it and have found a way to offer something of value to a niche group of passionate people in a very relevant way. By bringing the “Twilight” series to life, this travel company is reaching out to a new group of customers who may have never thought to use its services before by basically saying, “Come get your vampire on.” And that, everyone, is solid marketing.

You don’t have to be a giant company to do this. More companies should look at what their customers are passionate about and find a way to foster it with their products and services. Remember, your marketing doesn’t always have to be about you to work.
